[CLOSED]Redirect to different portal

Suppose I have two portals in my WebFOCUS environment: Portal A and Portal B, and suppose that a user can access these portals by navigating to and, respectively.

We would like to redirect users trying to access Portal A to the URL for Portal B.

Is this possible to do?

I don't think there's a built-in redirection option. The easiest way would be to create an HTML file in the Repository that has the redirection code, and then embed that HTML file in the portal - perhaps in a container in the banner. I *think* this will work, though I haven't tried it.

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991

You can do it in your local Domain Name Service as well.

Question is, are you doing this permanently? Older version to redirected to new version for instance. If so, then just replace you portal page on the old with a fex/html that has this in the pages content:

top.location.href = '/ibi_apps/bip/Portal/PortalB';
