Using ReportCaster version 7703, I'd like to create a new distribution list and move it into the main folder (admin?).
By default RC saves under the user named folder. When trying to save in the main folder, the option to create a new distribution list is not available i.e. the 'New'-button is grayed out for me.

In my previous setup (7.6) I could transfer schedules and such, using the 'Tools'-button from one folder to another. This button/screen seems to have disappeared in 7703? Logging on as an administrator didnt seem to make a difference.

Where is the setting allowing me to make changes in the admin folder in the developer role?

41 views, not a single response... do I need to clarify more?

Thanks.

Apparently you do not have administrator rights in Report Caster. Talk to your admin about moving the distribution list or changing your Report Caster rights.

Thank you for your message. How would I obtain the admin rights in ReportCaster then? My admin does not know where to look specifically for ReportCaster rights???

If you are having the users set up via MRE, have the admin go in "Managed Reporting Administration" and check the "Administrator" checkbox in the Report Caster section for your id.

Still struggling with this unfortunately, so let me put this in other words:

where has the functionality gone previously found under the 'Tools' button?

When I'm on the ibi_apps and select ReportCaster Administration, I select 'User Administrator' and there I see my user account as an ADMIN. Also, my application administrator isn't able to move a distribution list from one folder to another either.

Any help appreciated.

As far as I know - the updates avalable in RC were always just global - Ie move all objects of a specific type from one user to another. That is still there in Report Caster Administrator, it just looks a bit different.

Found it! Appreciate your help, so basically the 'Tools' button is now called 'Global update' and that's where changes in values can be accomplished.

Thanks once again,
SWES
