Hello.

I have a problem with this function HGETC.

In the version 7.6.11 my function HGETC ,give this error :

(FOC36355) INVALID TYPE OF ARGUMENT Ñ2 FOR USER FUNCTION HGETC

I wold like other functiont egual to hgetc but no have error.

EXAMPLE :

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
COMPUTE FECHA/HYYMDm=HGETC(10, FECHA);
...
...
BY ..
BY..
WHERE ..
ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT ALPHA
END

Try the following

Sorry my english no is good.
The function hgetc no work good in version 7.6.11.
I look for other function egual hgetc

I ran the code in 7.6.11 and just verified the version.
Volver a probar.

COMPUTE FECHA/HYYMDm = HGETC(10,'HYYMDm');

The documentation ONLY quotes the output format as having a format, not a fieldname, for the Hxxxxx functions for reporting.
