Hi everyone,

So in 8105 we created HTML pages with charts and some selections (parameters passed to the charts to filter the charts). We have actual fields with data in them and we also have some static fields that we created in the settings such as currencies. Based on the user's currency selections we have IF statements to use the correct currency.

So right now, I'm trying to recreate the HTML pages in a page in 8.2. I'm having issues with trying to create a static filter. Can someone please explain how I would create a filter, where I enter in the values in the page, I assume, and is tied/passed to the charts to filter.

What I'm doing is creating the charts, with the filters and then dragging it onto the page and it's finding all the filters on the page, but it's using an 'input' type of control for the currency, instead I want a dropdown where I can add the EUR, USD, and AUD, currencies so the user can pick them.

Does this make sense? Please let me know if I need to elaborate or explain better.

Thank you in advance!

Option 1 :
If you already have inserted the control, right click on it and select : Set Control Type then choose Drop down list. After that go to the control's Settings choose the Data type as Static and enter your values.

Option 2 :
When importing the controls and when you have the popup for which control to include, then select the control type as a Drop down list; the default is Text box.

I agree with MartinY but the filter has to exist in the procedure before you create the html page. If you updated the procedure with a new filter then delete and re-select the fex in the requests and data sources tab of the html designer then whatever button triggers the run re-select that under the tasks and animations to get the new object to appear.

Thank you for using Focal Point!
