HELLO EVERYONE
I AM TRYING TO CREATE A REPORT WHERE THE USER ENTERS THE VALUE FOR CUSTOMERID USING THE FOLLOWING OCDE IN MRE. THE PROBLEM IS ITS WORKING FINE WHEN CUSID IS NULL BUT WHEN THE USER GIVES A VALUE FOR CUSID ITS GIVING ERROR
THAT (FOC295) A VALUE IS MISSING FOR: CUSID.
THANKS FOR UR HELP

Good call, Tex! You need the single quotes around the value otherwise webfocus thinks you're doing a field to field comparison, instead of a field to value comparison.

But if the -SET breaks over more than one line (GT 80 characters), then you might need to spread the where test over two lines. e.g.,:

-SET &WHERE3 = IF &CUSID NE '' THEN 'WHERE CUSTOMERID EQ ''' | &CUSID | '
- ELSE ' ';

There is not 80 chars limit in 5.3 and it think there is not 80 chars limit in 5.2 I know there is a limit of 80 chars in 4.x
