Pie Chart Question

Hello All,

I'm having troubles creating a simple pie chart.

The data in my source is as follows:

EmployeeId Value1 Value2 Value3 Total
------------------------------------------
111111111 100.00 200.00 50.00 350.00
222222222 50.00 50.00 25.00 125.00
...etc

I would like to create a pie chart for each employee that has Values 1-3 as individual pie slices.

My intention is to included this report in a Coordinated Compound PDF where I will have a one page report per employee.

Any help would be appreciated,
Jason Vipond

I have done this with the CENTSALES demo file. It is very cool! I recommend creating your report and your graph separately for testing purposes and then in the PDF Layout Painter, use the external reference to the two focexecs. Read up on the doc to get the coordinated output stuff.

I am trying (unsuccessfully) to create this chart in the Advanced Graph Assistant. If I choose a basic pie chart, I can supply fields for three things - Measures, Pie Slices, and Multi-graph.

I'm using the EmployeeId for the Multi-graph so that the report gets bursted correctly in the Compound PDF.

For the other two items, I can only specify one field each. In my example data above, I would like Value 1 to be Slice 1, Value 2 as Slice 2, and Value 3 as Slice 3.

I think the tool is trying to get me to specify one of the Values as the Measure - something to be summed, and another field to be used as the pie slice (or By). In my case though, the data is pre-aggregated and already in one single row. I have no need for summing or grouping.

Any suggestions? Am I going about this whole thing the wrong way??

Jason
