I'm having a problem with blanks showing up when I use ReportCaster to create a Comma Delimited Text File with Titles. Here is my define:

FULLNAME/A200 = LASTNAME||', '|FIRSTNAME;

When I run the WebFOCUS fex, the name appears as:

Smith, John

When I have ReportCaster run the fex, the name appears as:

Smith, John

I have tried putting quotes around the name, and I tried SQUEEZ to remove blanks, but neither has helped. Can anyone suggest anything else I can try?

Thanks.

Carol Adams

I see my blanks were truncated when I typed the ReportCaster sample! Here is what it should look like:

Smith, (mulitple blanks) John

use
FULLNAME/A200 = LASTNAME || (', ' | FIRSTNAME);

which is the correct way of doing this.
