Hi All,
We are facing one issue in our Excel report output. We have multiple graphs for the report and we are saving all the graphs in ‘GIF’ format in ‘P’ drive, calling all the graphs from P drive and we are saving the output to shared drive in excel format. This is working fine, but the problem occur when we need archive of all the previous runs of the report. In archives reports the images are updating with the current data in graphs, because as the images are pointing to the P drive.

This report needs to be run on weekly and which has 14 graphs, so we can’t save images with different name for the next run. We did try by copying and renaming the document to different share folder, still images are pointing to the P drive.
Please let me know if you need more information.

Can you please share your thoughts to resolve this issue .

Thanks,
Pavan

I'd hold save the graphs in P:\(today's date)\1.gif, 2.gif ..... 8.gif
Modify the report that creates the graphs to save them in folder(named as example, 10192010)

Then modify the report that generates the execl report to take a parameter (&date_of_report)
&date_of_report will be the folder name

Thanks,
Sayed

hi sayed thanks! for your reply. We are trying to hold the images permenently in excel so that no need to maintain all the history of graphs for previous weeks in a separate folders. For each week we have 12 graphs so we need to maintain lot of graphs since we need to run the report on weekly basis.

Thanks,
Pavan
