I just started learning maintain and I am trying to change the readonly property depending upon certain criteria. I am not sure what I am missing. I have gotten the visibilty parameter to work in the past so I have added it to the code to check my syntax, but I can't get that to work. Can I put the commands in before the form is shown?

$$IF user EQ 'JPIKE' OR group EQ "LOSS PREVENTION" THEN
  Winform Set SearchForm.AuthorBy_Edit.readOnly to 0;
  Winform Set SearchForm.AuthorBy_Edit.visible to 0;
winform show searchform

Before setting any Winform parameters, the Form to be used has to have an assertion. This is done using the Winform show_inactive formname command. Then issue the set commands and finally Winform show forename.
