Hi,
We want to give our users a "Plain Text" output format option. Currently, we're using DOC, which outputs plain text, but the browser tries to open the file in MS Word, which is confusing. the users keep thinking it's an MS Word doc when it is not.

my question is, is there a way to generate a report in a plain text format that will just open in notepad or wordpad, or have a .txt extension?

there are a lot of output formats

format WP (WordPerfect) and it is a flat text file with headers as far as I remember.
Or you can change the extension to txt
