Report View, MTD Activity Summary:

Activity Bob Bill
Open 1 3
Help 1 0
Close 1 0
Active Days X X

Data: MTD 01/03/2013
ACCT1 01/01/2013 Open Bob
ACCT2 01/01/2013 Help Bob
ACCT3 01/01/2013 Close Bob
ACCT4 01/01/2013 Open Bill
ACCT5 01/02/2013 Open Bill
ACCT6 01/03/2013 Open Bill

How do I make the active days (X) in the columns say 1 for Bob (only on 01/01/2013) and 3 for Bill (every day MTD 01/03/2013)?

Is there a way to count unique days?

Thanks!

You can use CNT.DST on the date to count distinct values.

noob here, where would I put CNT.DST? is there a way to make a defined field off this so it's an ACROSS right under their name?

so are you saying that the value 1 for OPEN and the value 1 for HELP and the value 1 for CLOSE all together just mean that BOB gets a total count of 1?
But if BOB had 3 different dates
and 3 different activities, his data
would still be 1,1,1, but the total in this case would be 3?
Is that right?

You can not use distinct count in an across
All you can do is do the distinct count first an put that in an hold file.
Then you can do the across from that hold file

Yes, correct. CNT.DST date of activity is what I need, but it looks like it doesn't work on an ACROSS, I thought I would just put it under their names on the ACROSS, but I guess I'll have to rethink...
