Hi,

In the below URL, am passing abcd as folder name for IBIAPP_app variable. But there is no such folder in my server. Still WF continue to search the carinst.fex file based on APP PATH configuration and returns output without any error.

http://localhost/ibi_apps/WFSe....fex&IBIAPP_app=abcd

I can understand that the functionality of IBIAPP_app is same as APP PREPENDPATH with single folder assignment.
But when IBIAPP_app is set to a folder that does not exist, I expected WF to display error instead of fetching the file from a folder listed in APP PATH.

So its better to use folder name in the IBIF_ex variable itself as shown below to avoid execution of files from a folder other than IBIAPP_app.
http://localhost/ibi_apps/WFSe..._ex=abcd/carinst.fex

Thanks,
Ram

There are so many options here.

In some cases you may want to call the fex by the app folder, others, you may want to rely on the path to pick the first fex.

Imagine if you supply IBIAPP_app and in edasprof, there is code to do an APP MAP to create a new mapping that is not a directory under apps.

The decision should be based on the situation.
