The client has a requirement for a coordianated compound report, with graphs, to be displayed with some fairly sophisticated styling in one of the table components. Specifically, alternating backgrround colors in a SUBFOOT, by COLUMN rather than row. No big problem in native HTML, as the folloWING SHOWS:

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
     CAR.COMP.CAR
     CAR.CARREC.MODEL
     CAR.BODY.BODYTYPE
BY CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY

ON CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY SUBFOOT
"<COUNTRY<ST.CAR.BODY.DEALER_COST<ST.CAR.BODY.RETAIL_COST<ST.CAR.BODY.SALES"
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD

Unfortunately, when this report is referenced into a composer 'window', only the first BACKCOLOR command is being applied to the entire SUBFOOT row:

SET HTMLARCHIVE=ON

COMPONENT='report1', TEXT='report1', TOC-LEVEL=2, POSITION=(0.833 0.833), DIMENSION=(6.667 4.063), METADATA='Z-INDEX: 100; LEFT: 0.833in; WIDTH: 6.667in; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 0.833in; HEIGHT: 4.063in', $
END
SET COMPONENT='report1'
-*component_type report
-INCLUDE newfex1.fex
COMPOUND END

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Robert,

I passed this one to our internals, who did some testing in 7.7.02 and had no problem, which version are you using? You may want to open a case with Customer Support Services for further research. To open a case, please either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.

Cheers,

Kerry

I have suggested that this client open a case on this. Since my work here is done, I will let them follow up on it.
