Changing the Format from D12.2B!D to D12.2CBM gave me the desired results. I do believe that they are passing it along to programming though for the format that doesn't work.

Tim

When you export the active report below to Excel, the values of Length and Weight show the values of Width and Height rather than what is displayed on the screen. If I take the format statement out then the values export correctly. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tim

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
'CAR.COMP.CAR'
'CAR.SPECS.LENGTH/D12.2B!D'
'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH'
'CAR.SPECS.HEIGHT'
'CAR.SPECS.WEIGHT/D12.2B!D'
BY HIGHEST 'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH' NOPRINT
BY 'CAR.COMP.CAR'
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
ENDSTYLE
END

I think it is a bug. I ran your code in 7.6.5 and it worked fine. I ran it on my dev 7.6.10 environment and I didn't even get a report until I commented out the columns with the format overrides.

I strongly recommend that you open a case.

When you reformat, AND, don't HOLD the data, the original column and the reformatted column will both be included. Also, use this SET command:
ON TABLE SET HOLDLIST PRINTONLY

Works for me this way, 7.6.10. Ginny, please try:

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
'CAR.SPECS.LENGTH/D12.2B!D'
'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH'
'CAR.SPECS.HEIGHT'
'CAR.SPECS.WEIGHT/D12.2B!D'
BY HIGHEST 'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH' NOPRINT
BY 'CAR.COMP.CAR'
ON TABLE SET HOLDLIST PRINTONLY
  ON TABLE HOLD AS HOLD1
END
-RUN
TABLEF FILE HOLD1
PRINT *
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
END
-EXIT

Tom, your code doesn't work for me in 7.6.10. I get no report at all.

Hi Ginny,

Thanks! I am stumped, although, it actually doesn't work. Even with TABLEF, it doesn't come out BY HIGHEST WIDTH either. With the NOPRINT, it is still included in the output for a graph, the 1st, will always be 100%, the second will be the PIE breakout.

OH well, bug!

Tom

BTW: We really are on 7.6.10: WebFOCUS 7610 Server64bit on XXX-XXXXXX02 System: Windows NT-6.0 X86_64 64bit
and, I do get the report...FYI

This works the way I would like it to.
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
'CAR.SPECS.LENGTH/D12.2CBM'
'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH'
'CAR.SPECS.HEIGHT'
'CAR.SPECS.WEIGHT/D12.2CBM'
BY HIGHEST 'CAR.SPECS.WIDTH' NOPRINT
BY 'CAR.COMP.CAR'
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
ENDSTYLE
END

Works for me too. I was wary of that exclamation point in the format. That is what probably screwed it up. Thanks for following through and letting us know.
