Dear WF Community,
We are trying to give some users developer roles with limited usage of Masterfiles and Business Views.
Everything works fine in InfoAssist in WebFocus 8 (the limited masterfiles resources and business views are ONLY available to the user/developer, that is good).
Although when we give App Studio to those users, App Studio does not show Business Views and give an entire collection of Masterfiles available to them - not good, and not the same as InfoAssist/WF8.
Interestingly, a user is limited in App Studio with WF8 Content (reports, etc.) but regarding Data Servers, it is not the case...

Is that typical behavior of App Studio? Or is there something needs to be added/changed in App Studio settings?

Please let me know if anybody has experience regarding that matter,
Thanks,

Thomas,

While we wait for other members to reply here is the Security documentation for WebFOCUS 8009.

Can you upgrade you profile with a more specific version of WebFOCUS?

Security and Administration

You will be required to logon to the Techsupport site to retrieve the documentation.

Look into the privileges Appendix B - Desktop Development

Thank you for using Focal Point.
