Hi ALL,

My report have a page header also which required to print on every page, below the page header i want to print something which required to print on first page only, do not want to print on 2nd page onwards. I tried print the things using report header, it print on first only correctly but it will move to above the page header, i think it is due to webfocus always let report header locate above the page header.
Any idea that i can print the things below the page header and on first page only?

For example:
1st page:
Header A
Header B
SubItem 1
SubItem 2
SubItem 3
SubItem ...

2nd page:
Header A

SubItem 4
SubItem 5
SubItem 6
SubItem ...

All are text content.

Thanks.

Hi Welcome to the Forum.

If you will do a search on this topic, you will find many posts.

Try Subhead

ON TABLE SUBHEAD
"Heading on the first page"

Will not work Prarie.
What KingKong wants is to have more header rows on first page than other ones where additional heading rows are display below "normal" header' rows.

Such as :

Page 1
First line of header
Second line of header
Third line of header
Fourth line of header

Page 2
First line of header
Second line of header

Page 3
First line of header
Second line of header

Using the SUBHEAD it result in :

Page 1
First line of header
Second line of header
Third line of header
Fourth line of header

Page 2
Third line of header
Fourth line of header

Page 3
Third line of header
Fourth line of header

To perform this, you need to do the page skip "manually".

Have you tried using Pagecount and then using the WHEN feature with SUBHEAD? There are examples if you do a search.

This can be one way but may not work with all output format
Determine how may data rows can be printed (or you want) on first page.

-SET &NBROWPG1 = 3;

TABLE FILE GGSALES
SUM DOLLARS
    COMPUTE ROWID /I4 = ROWID + 1;
BY REGION
BY PRODUCT
BY CATEGORY
ON TABLE HOLD AS EXTDATA
END
-RUN

TABLE FILE EXTDATA
SUM DOLLARS
BY REGION
BY PRODUCT
BY CATEGORY
WHERE ROWID LE &NBROWPG1;
ON TABLE HOLD AS PGE1DATA
END
-RUN

TABLE FILE EXTDATA
SUM DOLLARS
BY REGION
BY PRODUCT
BY CATEGORY
WHERE ROWID GT &NBROWPG1;
ON TABLE HOLD AS OTHPGEDATA
END

I think this could easily be done with a combination of HEADING and ON TABLE SUBHEAD.

What is the content of the headers ?

Can you give an example ?

Is it text, fields, page numbers ?

I should read the post more carefully, didn't notice that the header change was below the first line.

I think Martin is right, you will need to know when the first page finishes to determine when to remove the unwanted header info.

What format is the report ? HTML, PDF, Excel ??
