We are currently upgrading to WF 5.2.3. We have seen several cases where graphs look different in 5.2.3 than in 4.3.6, with no changes whatsoever to the code. In most cases fonts, colors, resolution are different and sometimes not as good as when the same graphs are run in 4.3.6. To the good, bar graphs are still bar graphs, line graphs are still line graphs, but the appearance is notably different.

Sandy,

I noticed this as well when we upgraded. I already have a lot API controls in the graph request so I did not see EVERYTHING change. However, the setttings which I was relying on the DEFAULT values for did change from 4.3.6 to 5.2.3. I fixed this by adding additional API calls to control the settings. Fortunately there wasn't much to tweak.

As far as the resolution, I did noticed any quality change. I am controling the size of the graph so maybe that has something to do with it.

Just some thoughts and to let you know you are not alone in your observations.

agreed; upgrading to 52 pretty much killed all our graphics programs. so we rewrote some, abandoned others, and came up with non-java workarounds for others. Most of the problems were with ACROSS phrase requirements.
You're not alone.
