5 options show up in Tasks & Animations:
Target type:
Window
InfoWindow
Frame
Ajax call
Schedule

Is there a configuration change somewhere that I need to make to allow 'Deferred' to show up in the Tasks & Animations? Or if you can point me to the documentation, please help!
Thanks in advance!

1- Add a new button control to your HTML page (assume that its name is button1)

2- From the "Tasks & Animations" menu, click on upper right icon : "Toggle details". New popup window will open.

3- From that new popup window, add a new task where :

3.1 Trigger Tyoe = Click
3.2 Trigger Identifier : button1
3.3 Request/Actions : select the report that need to be executed
3.4 Target type : Deferred

Also when you reference an existing report on a html form it will automatically create a run, run deferred, schedule, and reset buttons.

Thank you, MartinY and thank you Chuck for your responses!

Chuck- it looks like we can use the Deferred button if we move the report to the Content area. Is there a configuration setting that I can make to allow them to use the Deferred button for reports created in the EDASERVE area?

Thanks again,

Barb

I don't see that option when the html form is created under EDASERVE using Martin's example. If you want to run deferred it will have to be created under the content folder.

Create a fex under the Content area that will only contain (from the EDASERVE):

-MRNOEDIT -INCLUDE app/fexname.fex

Then reference the above Content fex from my previous sample. That way you can have a EDASERVE called.
