Hey all,
Just recently in the last week, our production portal page has been losing entities at 5am each morning. Page works beautifully up until 4:59 am and then at 5 am, missing reporting canvas tabs and errors galore.
I have been digging through logs and have noticed that since this has been breaking, a bip_portal_conversion.log has been generated to the WebFOCUS81/logs file path.
It's a fairly small log, walks through all the settings of IA and at the very end of the log it gives an error on my service account for the following;

[2017-11-03 05:01:33,763] ERROR IBFSService - MonID:221e35d17b043d4listRulesForPath - opViewRulesOn denied - user:svc.webfocustasks resource:IBFS:/BIP/Portals/STCU_PREVIOUS_20170731

at com.ibi.applications.bip.portalConversion.BIP_PortalConversion.main(BIP_PortalConversion.java:78)

I have checked all permissions in my security console (this service account has full access to everything), I have checked report caster to see if I have a job kicking off at 5 am (nothing) and now I am out of ideas. Our test environment does not generate this log at all.

Further more, we never touch much of anything in Production, so I am baffled as to why this all of a sudden started puking.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Anyone have any tips for me to check out? I want to believe it's an IE or Chrome update issue, because nothing has changed on our environment, but the more I dig, the more I feel that really is an IBI issue and I just can't figure out how to resolve it.
The work around is to do a CM Package on my replicated portal page from Test and move it up to Prod each morning at 5:05 am. The page works just fine until the next morning at 5 am.

Help!
-Larissa

Hi Larissa

You need to report this problem to techsupport. I am not aware of anything that would trigger the portal conversion other than running it manually.

Thank you for using Focal Point!

Bummer, I was afraid of that.
As always, thanks Chuck!
