I'm looking for information on changing the look of the Deferred Status page (ugly blue top banner, no logo), the Library list page, and Schedules page. I know the Deferred Status page is generated everytime it's opened or refreshed but is there a .css which drives the look?

Has anyone done any of these changes?

Most of these are HTML pages that can be modified/customized to a specific site. However, (speaking from experience) customizing these pages causes issues because every time you do a software upgrade or a simple patch/update, you have to go back and figure out if your customizations are still valid, then put them back in.
We've modified the look and behavior of our MRE login pages and have to keep fixing them.

We're getting fuzzy here, but the actual HTML for these may be generated within the application in the application server (WAR or EAR file). I didn't go digging through that. If it's in there I don't think you want to mess with that. There are some .css and .js files for deferred in \WebFOCUShomedirectory\ibi_html\javaassist\ibi\html\mre on the WF Client platform. You could play with images/colors/spacing there and see what you come up with. Otherwise I would open a case with tech support on that one.

gregv, you have to un-jar the .war files, make your changes , and re-jar them.
i see you're in New England, i'm currently planning to be talking about this technique and showing an example or 2 at the new england focus users group later this year (FUN, its called, and it is).

Mine were on the filesystem. But I think you'll get something similar out of the war files.

There are two primary text files involved
[LAN]template.xml
[LANG]webfocus_strings.xml

At least for the simple fix.

On our system, they were located like this--
...\ibi\WebFOCUS77\client\wfc\etc\ENtemplate.xml

...\ibi\WebFOCUS77\client\wfc\etc\ENwebfoc_strings.lng


There's a template inside the XML file called Deferred blue something. It's pretty obvious. It's an HTML table, and the default also refers to a few images which you should be able to hunt down through the paths.

In my case, as far as modifications, I just recolored the table, removed the logo gifs, and removed excess options. (Strapped for time, incremental progress, etc.)

It's global, and as someone already mentioned you have to re-edit to put your changes back with hotfixes and upgrades.

You have to restart your webserver to see your changes as well.
