Can somebody confirm if the below issue is resolved by upgrading to webfocus 8.
currently we are using Win 7, office 2010 and WF 7.6.11

"Web browser pop-up about the wrong format (The file you are trying to open, '[filename]', is in a different format than specified by the file extension)"

Yes, WF 8 support MS 10 and IE 10. You may need to configure MIME setting so it works fine.

Thanks Ram for your inputs, just to confirm if there is any way to suppress the warning message while running the excel report in WF 7.6.11
also we are currently using IE8 and office 2010 on win 7.

I don't think, you can do it at server level. Changes requires at individual PCs.

Thanks Rifaz,
This suggestion fixes the issue temporarily,as users need to be trained to implement it on there machines individually.
Can you confirm if the same warning message occurs when using EXL07 on WF8.
