Since there have been so many questions about dates and date conversions and newcomers to the forum, thought I would let people know there is a book available to help you out.

The new (almost) 1001 Ways to Work With Dates in WebFOCUS and FOCUS is now available. This book shows all of the ways to work with WebFOCUS's date and time functions in step-by-step detail ... for example:
how to change legacy dates to smart dates
how to extract date components
how to calculate aging
how to convert any time to international time zones
how to do weekly calculations, monthly, daily, etc ----
The CD includes the code for all examples in the book. You can drop the code into your existing programs, change the fieldnames and be good to go. Extensive tables throughout the book show conversion routines and much, much more.
You can find more info about it on www.aviter.com.
Thank you,
