Thank you,

If you can log on to tech support you can download pdf files of manuals. There is not one specific to stylesheets that I am aware. One search resultCreating a style sheet within WebFOCUS to use for other reports I think may be what you are asking

Thank you, Leah.

When I was an IBI employee, I asked that question, and the response was it was industry standard stylesheet syntax and could be found on Microsoft's website. I never did find it (which is why I've posted the question here).

John,

One other document I would suggest keeping close to hand is the "Quick Reference Card" (which is actually a booklet!).

Search for DN4500671.1104 which is the one for version 5.3, however, I haven't seen one for the later versions yet and the detail contained within is still relevant.

Jen,

Do you know if and when a new version is due out?

Sounds like John is referring to CSS or cascading style sheets. If that is the case, John, there are lots of books on the market about CSS.

The doc for WebFOCUS stylesheets is in the "Creating Reports with WebFOCUS Language" manual for your release.

Not related to stylesheets, but while we're talking about handy guidebooks ("cheat sheets"?) ...

Here are two I've found handy:

FOCUS Quick Reference Reporting Handbood, IBI# DN1000900.1002 Copyright 2002

FOCUS Quick Reference Dialogue Manager Handbook, IBI# DN1000041.1294 Copyright 1994

They give the complete syntax of Dialogue Manager statements and the basics coding of report procedures.

They are old and may omit the small bit of new stuff incorporated since they were published (When was the last addition to DM or report procedure syntax?), but the information is still accurate.

I suggest both for the desk of any 'newbe' who's beaking out 'exclusively GWI'.

Tony,

The DN4500671.1104 is no longer on the tech support document library when you search. Is the number correct?

Leah,

It may have been updated since I downloaded it. It is the Quick Reference Card Version 5 Release 3. If I find it I'll post the DN

Thanks, Tony. Interestingly when I did a partial search on the information before the 'period' it didn't find anything the other day.

Hope you're keeping warm in the UK.
