We have a user who cannot log in to the Managed Reporting environment we have set up. I have deleted and re-created her account and she still cannot get in. She is receiving the above error I have never seen before. It also reads:

Possible causes ibi.worp.util.WORP_RuntimeException: Cannot open file: C:\ibi\WebFOCUS76/worp/worp_users\absmith\user-preferences.xml

I have looked in this directory and she does not have this file (and some others as well) while our other users do. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this is and how to "officially" fix it. I had thought about copying another preference file and pasting into her foler, but I'm not sure it would work.

Thanks.

The user cannot log in to MRE, but the suggested error is a WORP error. Is the user attempting to login to B.I. Dashboard? If so, have you tried logging in to the B.I. Dashboard Viewbuilder and reassigning the user to the appropriate view? (if of course, the user appears on the "Manage Users" screen; if not, I would try copying the files of another user to this user's folder in C:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\worp\worp_users).

I may not be using the "official" terminology. We have an environment set up for users to log in and view reports. We've renamed it, but we set up the users through the Managed Reporting Administration console. I have not heard of the BI Intelligence Dashboard or Viewbuilder. I can try copying another user's files to her folder, but will this lock her in to their preferences, etc. or does she just need this to get started and it will then change to reflect her access? I compared a couple and some of them are a little different...

I ended up copying another user preference file to her folder and it worked. She was able to log-in. Thanks Francis!
