Hi,

Recently we have installed 7.1.3 in our test environment , in general everything seems to work fine now , but now we get a ? instead of a euro-sign , we've looked at the NLS settings and they appear to be equal to our production environment

Any ideas on this?

Pete, we're showing Euros fine in 714/5 on windows 2k3;
the format /D9E or /D9e both work fine
(which is an improvement over 5 where decimals were required)
NLS i didn't mess with at all.

Pete,

Sorry I missed this earlier post but you can just use & #8364; or & euro; (without the space) which will be interpretted into the euro symbol (€ ) by the end users browser.

Hi Pete,

I know it's a silly question, but ...
You did leave out the space didn't you? Of course you did!! Wink

In that case how are you calling your HTML and how is it created. e.g is it an HMTL FORM within a fex, is it created in painter and you are typing the values in, etc. etc.

Pete,

I am using 7.1.3 and if I hardcode the & euro; or & #8364; between the two tags for a span, it displays just fine.

Scratch that, just tried in an instream HTMLFORM and no joy, hmmmmm.

Hi Pete,

When used in an instream HTMLFORM then you'll need to differentiate it from a WF variable by escaping the ampersand - &|#8364; or &|euro; - both work.

Alternatively you could using alt and keypad 128 (not 164).
