drill down on excel format inserts funny characters to generated url
the url created for a drill down in excel format inserts the characters %0d%0a when clicked. The characters do not show up when you mouse over the field in the box showing the url. However when the field is clicked the url at the address of the browser contains that field. This only happens on the excel format. The html format does not have this error.

any help would be appreciated

I am assuming that the drilldown works, correct? The %xx characters are the 'escaped' version of characters that can cause a url to be confused, such as plus signs, spaces, etc. The URL generated is escaped so that it will work correctly in the excel environment. The characters are interpreted by the browser engine when you click on it. As long as the drilldown works, don't worry about these characters. There is nothing you can actually do to change them anyway.

that was the problem the drill down does not work. the characters appears between an & and the field name as a passed variable. the webfocus engine complains when building the set commands to assign a value to the &variable.

the drill down works on html format.

something like this, you will notice that there is a gap just above the last line where an amper symbol is. When it is clicked the url will have the characters on the location(address) on the browser.
