I have a list box with 200 entries.
I added a Search Box.
1) It says 1 thru 50 of 200 in the Search box. How do I scroll to see ALL my values if chose not to use the search box? On the first 50 are there? I see no Next Page button!

2) What if the user does not care there are 1 thru 50 of 200 entries...ie can the search box open empty and listing all 200 entries which can be scrolled thru?

The only Search/Paging control setting set to YES is Keep Selection

Oh dear....they also do not like that it does not start searching as you type....you must hit the magnifying glass.....I heard the dreaded, 'Tableau does not make you do all this'

So how do I rectify this to make it 'modern' as they say...

Robert

If you select the search object and go to properties there is a setting for Instant Search that by default is No. Change it to yes and you will get the behavior you want.

Nope...no change. All are set to NO:
Match Prefix=No
Match Case=No
Match Whole Word only=No
Instant Search = YES
Keep Selected Values (tried Yes and No)
Show Settings=No

The only difference I see is my match prefix is set to yes. I am on 8.2.06 gen 15 and it works fine.

We selected Create Search instead Create Search/Paging...now we have the options to resolve this issue.
