Hello Everyone,

I have updated my dev studio from 8009 to 8105 and everytime I am trying to create a new report I am getting Unknown Parsing Error. Does anyone know whats going on with my system?

Have you tried to use App Studio? That's the next gen app dev tool.

I don't think we have license for App studio. Its just for dev studio.

Perhaps you're connecting to a WebFOCUS server that's older than 8105?

Good point, Dev/App Studio needs to be on the same or very similar release

We are experiencing the same messaging on a upgrade from 8014 to 8015. The launch pages load much more slowly. We are trying to mitigate now.

There is a change with a Save Selection button.

Hey man,

I have found the solution. For me there was one file in the ibi/wfstudio81/bin folder 'Default.stl'. There were four lines='some default' style. which was not present in any of the templates. So I changed it to All four lines = blank . Now it is working for me. Hope it works for you too.

Cheers.

Oh! You're seeing that error in Dev Studio as a popup window, as opposed to in your report output? I assumed the latter.

Yeah, we had that too - took us a while to figure out what was going on. The problem only occurred on some Dev Studio installs though, others were working just fine - sometimes even on the same PC under a different account.

In the end it just started working and we never figured out why.

We opened a case, but it was closed because we can no longer reproduce the problem.

We're on Dev Studio 8103, BTW, not 8105.

Just wanted to say: I ran into this problem and Guarav's solution resolved it for me. The file was in the DevStudio81 directory in 8.1.05

Yes. You can put conditions in the master. As to DBA security, that's used to monitor what data a particular user or set of users can access

Great.. Thank Gaurav.. It worked for us too..

Changed this..

LOCAL=endeflt
DATASERVER=endeflt
MRE=endeflt
WFC=endeflt

to

LOCAL=
DATASERVER=
MRE=
WFC=

and it worked..

If i make the person as server administrator, then also it is working but I know it is not right solution
