What error are you getting?

What browser and version are you using on XP?

On the Windows 7 pc, are the PDF and Excel reports opening in Adobe reader/ Microsoft Excel or are they opening in the browser? If they are opening in Adobe Reader / M.S. Excel, do you have Adobe Reader and M.S. Excel installed on the XP machine?
