OK, I have a BIP that uses the "InfoDiscovery" theme.
I added a 2-column layout to the banner.
Left column is just text, right column contains an HTML page I created that contains some global filters.
EVERYTHING from the banner down to both column has transparent background selected. So does the HTML page in the DOCUMENT and the PANEL elements that are on it.
No matter what I do, the background is WHITE for that little html page. I want it transparent so that I can use any theme and have it change too.
I've spent all day on this one problem and I'm getting really sick of it. Can anyone point out something I've missed? Thanks.

Hello Mike,

Not entirely sure, but my first question would be have you tried multiple browsers to see if it's the same behavior across all browsers? If you haven't already done so you could also try setting the BODY background to transparent with inline CSS within the HTML file:
   <body style="background-color: transparent;">

Hi, thanks for responding. It's the same in all browsers, and I can't edit the stupid thing in anything other than App Studio, where I cannot get to the html directly. Very frustrating.

It's almost certainly some sort of CSS change that is needed to clear that auto background color in the HTML file. I didn't realize one can't edit the HTML within App Studio, guess another reason for me not to switch quite yet. When looking into that fact for my own information I ran across http://forums.informationbuild...1057331/m/9737039176. Not sure if you may be able to get something out of that to be able to try and edit the HTML? Good luck!

I found another example on focal point that showed how to add jquery to the page, which I did. I verified that the jquery worked by hitting f12 and seeing that my html tag now had transparent background color instead of white. Then I ran my portal, and the #$!# thing is still WHITE!!!

I'm opening a case right now.
