can you assign multiple distribution lists to a task????

We are bursting a report using Report Caster. It would be nice to have the burst values defined in multiple distribution lists however it does not appear to let me assign multiple lists to my task. Can this be done?

Anyone? The distribution list controls how the data is bursted. Can you have multiple lists asscoiated with one scheduled task? If so, how...?

Hi RobertF,

ReportCaster does not support assigning multiple distribution lists to one task. However, you can create a dynamic distribution list which will allow you to control bursting. Details can be found at:

How to create dynamic distribution list for ReportCaster

Kathryn

thanks Kathyrn...I was just trying to think ahead... the thought being that it might be nice to have individual lists for future reporting...still might...I'd just have to combine a necesary into new single lists for a particular report...can start to get messy real fast though...

Hi Robert,
Have you looked into Dynamic Distribution Lists? It might help you solve this problem and gives you much flexibility.
Martin.
