Currently working with WebFocus V764, Tomcat 5.5.25 Server

The problem I am encountering consistently is when running a report, I can click on the "RUN" button and I get back results in 1-2 seconds. I can then turn around and immediatly run the same report and it may take 1-2 minutes to get the same results.

Had anyone encountered this problem before. Are they any tweaking or other suggestion I can do to remedy this problem?

mmm,

Seems like your caching is slower than your rdms?

Second call is returned from cache.

G'luck,
Dave

What is the environment?

Are there many others hitting the DB ?

Dave also may have a point as well, it could be PC related.

WebFocus is installed on a Dell OPTIPLEX 755 desktop computer.

I am accessing data stored in a ORACLE database located on a Dell Server.

Any suggestions on tweaks I can make to PC or WebFocus itself?

When you say WebFOCUS, is it a WebFOCUS server or Developer Studio ?

Is the Dell PC yours, and are you running many other things on it ?

You may have to check things like swpa file size.

This could be so many things.

Unable to correct problem but not a work stoppage. Just aggrevating sometimes.

Dell is gov't computer in office. Low priority for IT help desk research into problem. Something I will work around for now.
