HI All,

Am struck on this issue, wherein I have 2 fexes say (1.fex and 2.fex)
1.fex has the code to populate the input page for the report, it is a combination of procedure and -HTMLFORM Begin and -HTMLFORM End to populate drop down boxes for the input screen, this also has a submit button.
when the submit is clicked, this fex populates 2.fex which is the report.

Now my issue is i require both 1.fex and 2.fex on the same page, giving it a dashboard look. the 1st half of the page should have 1.fex with all the drop dowms and submit button and the 2nd half of the page should display the report.

I tried using a iframe to hold the report(2.fex), but am not able to point my report to this iframe.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks in advance
RJ

In it's simplest form all you need to do is set the target

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
COMPUTE SEL_VAL/A50='<option>'|COUNTRY|'</option>';
BY COUNTRY NOPRINT
ON TABLE SET HOLDLIST PRINTONLY
ON TABLE SAVE AS CARLIST
END
-RUN
-HTMLFORM BEGIN
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>

<form method="POST" target="Iframe" action="/ibi_apps/WFServlet">
  <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="IBIF_ex" VALUE="carinst">
  <p><select size="1" name="COUNTRY">
!IBI.FIL.CARLIST;
  </select></p>
  <p><input type="submit" value="Submit" name="B1"><input type="reset" value="Reset" name="B2"></p>
</form>
<p>
<iframe name="Iframe" width="100%" height="50%" marginwidth="1" marginheight="1" border="0" frameborder="0">
</iframe></p>
</body>
</html>
-HTMLFORM END

Hi Raj -

Do you have code specifiying the target frame?

http://documentation.informationbuilders.com/masterinde...htm?url=topic155.htm

"You can use frames to subdivide application HTML pages into separate scrollable sections. Frames enable users to explore various information items on a page by scrolling through a section, instead of linking to a separate page. When defining a link from a report component to a report procedure or URL, you can specify that the results of the drill-down link be displayed in a target frame on a Web page."

I hope this was helpful
