I need to do a proof of conecpt to validate certain features of Webfocus. I found out Developer suite from the products list. Does the developer suite need a client/server model or is it a client-only standalone tool for designing the reports? Because of lack of time and resource, I can't install the client/server model and do the POC. Please help me out in this regard.

Thanks,
Geeya.

Geeya.

It's capable of doing both !!

What I mean by that you can run queries from a stand alone version or connect to the WebFOCUS server and run a query fron there.

i use Dev Studio as a stand alone on my laptop, even using windows personal web server to set up a self-serv site, writing html launch pages whose form action calls the webfocus engine. Very flexible.
