Hello My friend

i have database at Oracle 9i installed on Win 2003 enterprise Edition how can we configure the adapter to generate Report?

W.F 7.1.3
Dev.Studio 7.1.3


WF 7.7.0.3HF3 / WinXP- WF-Client & Apache / DevStd 7.7.0.3HF3 win XP.

Hi reFOCUSing

i have oracle RDBMS on machine has this IP 172.16.75.129 and the Reporting Server on 172.16.75.103 i try to configure adapter but there is error appear tell me {SQL INTERFACE HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED OR COULD NOT BE INITIALIZED}but am sure the oracle run very well on the other machine

172.16.75.129 has win2003 enterprise edition
and the reporting server is 7.1.3 on winXPSp2 has this address 172.16.75.103

can you help me Smiler-

Do you have a Oracle client on the reporting server? have you updated your tnsnames?

yes i update the tnsnames.ora to accept the same ip address as following:


172.16.75.129 =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 172.16.75.129)(PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = prod)
)
)

is there other configuration to do it

Was the Oracle data adaptor purchased with your WF install? Contact your local branch to confirm.
