Hi,

I have a dual axis vertical bar chart.
I added a drill down chart to one the vertical field.On running i noticed that there is no tool tip for the drill down.
When i added another drill down to the same vertical field ,then the tool tip is showing.

Actually i need only one drill down and if i have only one drill down,the user won't see any tool tip for drill down on hover over.

I have never noticed this.

This is the code when i add drill down the vertical field.

TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=N3, ALT='Click here for detail chart', TARGET='_blank', BUCKET=y-axis(2),
FOCEXEC=IBFS:/WFC/Repository/InfoApps/SalesCount_Hours_Ch_Drill1.fex(
DISTRICT_ID=DIM_LOCATION.DISTRICT_ID),
$

Even though there is ALT = 'Click here for detail chart',it is not showing as a tool tip.

Any idea why this is happening?

How about using a custom tooltip?

Look at this document for ideas.

There are also other, previous, posts which provide examples and methods. If I remember there was an excellent post by Gavin a few years back (Found the link).

Also remember that your question may have been asked before, so a search should always be your first option - it could save you so much time.

srajeevan,

It seems to be a versioning issue. Babak is on 8203. I've tested his code on my 8201 and it doesn't display the ALT. Only drillable on first y axis since it's the only one with a drill option which is okay.

Nor in 8.2.02, 8.2.03 (don't think Babak realises that it is missing the ALT text in the tooltip), 8.2.04 or 8.2.05.

My misunderstanding. The Drill menu description displays as a tooltip only if you have multiple drilldowns. I'm not quite sure what ALT= does other than document what you're doing. This might be worth a tech support call.
