My ReportCaster windows service is in the "running" status, but the ReportCaster console indicates that the distribution server is down. Has anyone ever had this issue? How did you troubleshoot?

In the \ibi\WebFOCUS82\ReportCaster\log directory there is scheuler.log file that will have info. I suspect it can't connect to your repository for some reason.

Try reboot the server where RC et DS are installed.

Sometime starting one and the other service result in having them asynchronized

Restarting the whole server may fix the issue except, as told by FP, you have a connexion issue. Even that, it can solve the problem...
