Hi all,
I have created a WebFocus Reporting Object and have verified that it runs and returns the correct data. I want to use Report Assistant to run a report against it, but don't know how. I thought that I must first create a synonym for the Reporting Object. But when I asked our WebFocus Administrators, they didn't know how to create a synonym for a Reporting Object. I have searched this side, but haven't found my answer.

Thank you for your help,

Seyed

Hi

You can create reports using the report assistant after you log into your MRE environment or the Business Intelligence Dashboard.
Just expand the relevant reporting objects folder and right click on the reporting object.
You should ask you webfocus administrator for a valid user to access the BID and a minimum role of "analytical user"

Hi Eran,
Thank you very much for your input. With your input I can now use Report Assistant to build a report from a Reporting Object. I just didn't know how to navigate around the MRE to build this report.

Continued success,

Seyed
