Position elements in header for HTML output
Has any one know how to position elements in the specified place of the header for a HTML output.
I tried with
"<20>head1 <+0><40>head2"
It works fine in pdf but not in html.
A quick response is heighly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you would like to position element in header very precisely for an HTML output, you can use CSS. For example:

SET CSSURL='/approot/css/style.css';
TABLE FILE CAR
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF
HEADING
"head item"
PRINT CAR MODEL SEATS
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT,GRID=ON,$
TYPE=HEADING,CLASS=report_header,$
ENDSTYLE
END

where the style.css is as follows:

.report_header {
background : Aqua;
text-indent : 210px;
}

You can also mixed this 'CSS technique' with the other WebFOCUS aligning and positioning methods.
Below are the links to the previous forum threads concerning alignment and positioning elements in report headers.

The important (and sometimes overlooked) tip is:
Use TYPE=REPORT, GRID=ON,$ in the stylesheet,
use different background colors and fonts for positioned items,
and experiment with various settings.

Hope this helps
