Hello

Created a business view and then made a report in InfoAssist (as not being a very experienced AppStudio user. Report exist of year/month/day/office-id/number of transactions.
In the Administration WebConsole I enabled OLAP. Then I am able to run the report as OLAP (right-click the report.fex in the content tree, properties, run as OLAP). In my understanding you have to check that every time you run the report. I don't want the user to right-click, select Properties and then check Run as OLAP.
So I opened the report in Appstudio.

I understand that if you want to turn on OLAP in your report, you go to the "Autodrill & Analysis" button in the "Navigation" section of the "Format Tab". This pops up a box and allows you change the OLAP and Auto Drill Options.
I see an "Autodrill" button, not a "Autodrill & Analysis" button. But when I click this one I see nothing happening.

So my question:
How can I create a report in InfoAssist and make it OLAP-ready for the end-user?

We are now working with 8202, but within a few weeks with 8204

Regards
Ron

Very good question... The Autodrill and Analysis was there in 8.1.05 but you are correct it no longer exists in 8.2.0X. Better open a case with techsupport on this and please update this post with what you find.

Hai Chuck,

I opened a case and will let you know the answer.

But is it possible to make the report (almost) completely in InfoAssist and then only use AppStudio to make it OLAP-enabled?

Regards
Ron

Opened a case and got an answer.

In order to use OLAP features in AppStudio you need to activate them in the AppStudio Options. In the Reporting Tab check “Enable OLAP”. Save your change and restart AppStudio.
InfoAssist and the Report Painter in AppStudio are different tools for different kind of users. Reports developed with one tool can probably not be opened with the other one and visa versa. If you want to develop an OLAP enabled report it will be the best to develop the report in AppStudio.

Ron
