OK, I've tried what the manual suggested...I modified the bid-config.xml as instructed (goToPersonalViewOnLogin set to "false") but it's still taking the user to the General Public View. User is a member of a single group and should be automatically logged into this group view. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something? Do I need to restart the server or something?
Thanks. Thanks. Mark WF 7.6 Windows |

For any change to the bid.xml to take effect, you have to restart your application server (Tomcat in most cases).

Mark,
Have you tried deleting the Users personal.xml file? I think that was required also (but it's a long time ago). The downside is that the user will loose any personalisation. T Old FOCUS coders never die, they just become functionally stable. (Tony A

Yeah, I've deleted the user, etc. to no avail. I'm going to restart Tomcat.

7.6.4 gotopersonalviewonlogin
I have changed the bid-config to false. I have stopped Tomcat. I have removed the cache files. I have restarted Tomcat. I removed the user from basedir. I removed the user from worp_users. I removed users from dashboard view builder. User has only 1 group. Dashboard created for that group. Still getting public view on login. Version 7.6.5, XT, PDF |

Did you ever resolve this problem? I am having the same problem.
Also, is there any way to eliminate the public view altogher? Also, if an admin doesn't belong to any group, why should the admin get views when he/she logs on? Release: WebFOCUS 7.6.5 OS: Windows Output formats: HTML, PDF, Excel, csv |
