Our developers use WebFOCUS Developer Studio 8105.

We all use TFS as our source control.

One of our developers receives a pop up error box, in WFDS, that states 'Critical error of Source Control Provider. Please restart IDE'.

Upon receiving the error the dev notes that the 'Source Control' column, of the folder contents pane, reverts to 'Not Controlled', until WFDS is closed and reopened.

Any ideas of what we can check or what the issue might be?

We've checked everything we can think of, and can't find any differences between the dev with the issue, and the other team members.

Do you have a way to test using App Studio?

Thanks for the thought Craig.

Upon upgrading from 8007 to 8105M, we learned that 8105M AS didn't yet have TFS support, so we needed to continue to use WFDS.

Hi David,

Are you using Single Sign On? We are using SSO through Active Directory and saw this in WF8015 when a users NTLM token expired or their active directory password expired.

We just took it a quirk of AD SSO and the connection to TFS and haven't seen it since moving the 82 and App Studio - although that has it own quirks too

Regards

Stu

Thanks Stu.

No we aren't SSO, we enter our WF credentials in WFDS.

I do feel like it is some type of 'expiration' or 'timeout' situation, like you were previously seeing.

Thanks again for your thoughts.
