Can I do this with an && inside step 3 of sps/10962092.html in lieu of a hardocded dataset name? My reportcaster log does not show the dynamic creation of the file if I dont hard code it in step 3. Any suggestions?

Hi Ira,

I'm not sure what version of WF you are using, but we recently upgraded to WF 7.1.3 on our servers and all of our Fexes with && no longer work. We had to recode all of them to pass & variables instead.

Just something to consider.

For global variables, check the cgivars.wfs to
see if IBIF_persistentamp=YES

For the DS, do you see a & or && on the Advance button parameters tab? What do you type in as the value? Are you getting an error?

we are using 5.3.x here in house, but have 7.6 for testing purposes. i was informed by an ibi'er to use the filedef in lieu of the 'dataset' in the maSter. I do not see the filename distributed (and it does not get distributed) in the log. I was using &&. Hardcoding the value in dataset works fine. Just trying to make this configurable.

hardocding the dataset into the master file and the thing works gr8 (just not configurable). i.e., anytime a change has to be made to production (our paths are setup different [not my choice} this would require a manual change each and every time. I appreciate the heads up on the && in 7.1.x - does the same hold true for 7.6? Ira....
