[SHARING] 1001 Ways to Work with DATES in WebFOCUS

I should get paid for this, but I'm willing to let that slide.. :P

We got the "1001 Ways to Work with DATES in WebFOCUS" for WebFOCUS 7 today.. Even though we are using 8.1.04, this is an awesome book!!

Almost instantly, we found things that would of made our life so much simpler. For example, formatting the date to MM-DD-YYYY, we have been using FPRINT or EDIT, when it's as simple as:

PRINT COMPUTE MYDATE/M-D-YY = &MDYY;

So much in this book and for $20 it's worth every penny.

This book is something IBI should be making available.. Just saying.

I'd suggest check it out, before they are all gone.

It's a good book and I use it constantly. However I do think it should be revised and reprinted (or made available electronically) in a nicer format. I sometimes find it difficult to follow when there is an illustration on one page and the text explaining it is two pages before or after - or they cram too many variations into a single illustration.

This is a quibble, to be sure, but in the spirit of making the book even better in future.
