I recently upgraded from 8009 to 8105. After upgrading, my resource analyzer is only reading data since the point in time when I re-enabled resource analyzer. I know the data is still there because the database is the same size as it was. Is there a way to re-link the resource analyzer data with resource analyzer? Thanks.

Hi Scott,

This is the reply from the Reporting Server group that handles Resource Analyzer.

Depending on the questions it might be a good idea to open a case since we need to find out what more about the upgraded from 8009 to 8105. Was the reporting server for 8105 a new install or a binary refresh? There are two methods of migrating Resource Analyzer based on how they upgraded. The Resource Analyzer Administrator and User’s guide has info on migrating Resource Analyzer repository. If it was a new install they can use the method documented in the User’s manual, if it was a binary refresh there is a manual process for 8105 that is recommended and we would have to send the customer the files to do this.

Here is the link to the above mentioned manual:
Resource Analyzer Administrator's and User's Manual

Keep us posted as to whether this helped or you open a case for further assistance.

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.

Kindest regards,
Tamra Colangelo
