Hi guys,

1. We have a user defined as a Power_User-role with privileges of Library checked.
2. From Report caster, a schedule is run and an email is sent to the user after saving the report in the library.
3. The power user have a link(with a given version) in the email. After a click the Report Library window login appears. Nothing's happening at the login enter. Why? No rights? Let's say that credentials are goods.
4. As an admin, the login at Report Library window works and show the report, not the catalog report library
5. When admin, power user or any users, have the Catalog Report Library window login?

Thanks.

Hi Marikaki,

Per our internals:
quote:

I tried this with our 305 setup under 767, making Chuck Dickens a power user w/ Library privileges.

I ran a schedule, got the email, clicked the link and got the report with no problem so I am unable to duplicate this issue.

The only thing I can think of, perhaps rcusersync needs to be run?

Cheers,

Kerry

I am assuming that user has user role also(not run only user).
Also, if you are using managed reporting, user should have permissions on the domain where the report is running from. If user doesnt have permission on the domain, user will not see it in the library.

Hi,
Try having the power user log in directly to the library using http://servername/rcaster/libr...sp?IBIRC_language=en If they can login there then the id is ok they just need permissions to the domain or something is wrong in the access list. If they can't log in that way then you may need to run the sync.

Thanks guys for your answers.

I apologize for the response-time but I share my time with different projects.

Finally my power user successfully login through the report library webserver link and have access to the reports catalog. However when the schedule is running from report caster, the power user receives an email with many links (burst value report), and when clicking on it, the report itself opens with the appropriate burst value.

Now, as an admin, how come do I get the login access window when i click on one of the links from my email? Where the difference resides between the admin and power-user? Yet we are both in the same group having the same domain assigned.
