I have a maintain application with 2 fields that are dynamically populated.
Is there a way once they select a value in the 1st drop down to then limit the values that appear in the 2nd field.

Example:
List box 1 contains: A, B, C as choices

List box 2 contains: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, 1c, 2c, 3c as choices.

In list box 1 if they select "A" in list box 2 I then only want to display 1a ,2a, 3a.

The 2 solutions are javascript(on the browser) or maintain(on the server).

The maintain solution is easiest as it is just stack manipulation, but requires a return to the server and form refresh.

The javascript needs a couple of steps:
onLoad create an array of contents of list box 2
on list box 1 change, remove contents of list box 2, then populate from the array if the value is a match to display.

Which method do you need to use?

Here's the Maintain code:

Using the CAR file, STK1 contains all the countries. STK2 contains only the cars from the selected country:

CASE TOP
Reposition COUNTRY
Stack clear stk1
For all next Country into STK1
Winform show form1
ENDCASE

CASE LoadBox2
Reposition COUNTRY
Stack clear stk2
For all next COUNTRY CAR into STK2
where Country eq STK1().COUNTRY
ENDCASE

This assumes that you use STK1.COUNTRY to populate the first list box. The syntax STK1().COUNTRY is shorthand for the selected country from the listbox.
