Hi all,
I have an HTML launch page that I'm using to open a fex file and pass parameter values entered from the launch page. These parameters have been created as text boxes and tied to the prompts in the fex file via the Parameters tab in the html page.

My issue is these prompts can be left blank, but if they are blank on the launch page, the report does not execute with the blank values, it loads the default report prompt screen with just the prompts that do not have values.

This worked fine in our 7.7 system but is giving me issues in 8.1. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? I'm assuming there is a setting somewhere but I've tried everything I can think of.

Thanks!

-Brian

In your fexes that are getting called, try using -DEFAULTH for the parameters, like
-DEFAULTH &THE_PARAMETER = ' ';

That worked perfectly. I knew I was missing something simple. I was expecting it to be an issue with the HTML page rather than the FEX file.

Thanks!!

Check your Fex properties and make sure that the Prompt for Parameters option is not selected.
