I have a web composer page that has the prompts on top and 2 spaces below for 2 different reports.

While the reports are running (a minute or two) the 'spinner' ("Loading, please wait") message appears as normal. However, it is too low on the page. If the user does not scroll down, they have no idea that anything is happening to process their request.

Does anyone have an idea how to move the spinner higher up on the page?
Thanks!

Simple, shrink the iframe??? The "spinner" is centered in the iframe...

Can't shrink the frame - The report/graph won't fit.

You can also go into the properties window for the body tag and change the "Loading screen" to be a custom screen.

OR if you don't care whether your output is in a frame or a window, you can specify the output to be in a new window, target window, etc.

Like J said, you can create a custom loading screen with the loading message and spinning image in a different location so that it isn't too low on the page. This is what we do in some instances.

What version of WebFOCUS are you on? With 7.7.02, you can create a custom loading message and that way you place the message whereever you want, say the upper right corner. You simply create an HTML page with whatever you want your custom message to say, then set the loading message property to use that page.

Version 7.6.11.
Sounds good! Where do I find the "loading message property"?
Thanks!

You can find the 'Loading screen' property in the properties panel on the right side in html composer when '< BODY>' has been selected from the dropdown. From there you can set a custom html page to be your loading screen.

Thank you very much Emily Duensing and Prince Joseph! That was my first place to look. They must have shut that property off in our installation. I'm off to see them about it!

Thanks again to all who helped!

Maybe it's different in the version of dev studio that you are using. Not sure. But, there is a whole section on specifying an html file as a loading screen in the htmlcomp.pdf documentation.
