the answer depends on the original format of the date is it number in the database is it a string in the database is it a date in the database

Bonjour, Always impressed when I see questions about Dates Format. A matter that was fixed by Focus well before 31/12/1999 (Except the Windowing of centuries with YRTHRESH or about that came for the big Millenium boom). As to the Type of DM variables, it should not be confused with Focus Formats. DM variables are always characters, perhaps numeric characters, that you can calculate with, but characters nonetheless.
